Le Quartier Restaurant Jakarta - Review

18 October 2014

Hello!! Today's post is about a restaurant in Jakarta.

If you're a fan of western food, go to Le Quartier Restaurant.
It is located in Senopati area where is the heaven for all good places to eat.
You only need to walk a bit and you find another different restaurants/cafe/mini stall with unique concepts.

First impression of this restaurant, Classy, Modern and Artistic. Yes, from the name "Le Quartier" it sounds European, super serious and high-class.

Thumbs up for the grafitti art is very eye-catching and it made the place not "too serious".
Anyway, attractive decoration and the interior is keeping the ambience classy and comfy.

The Vintage Decorations near the door.
You can either wait here to be served or just take a photo. :D

I really love the classy interior <3
They are like a fine dining, and also has open bar, but yet the place is still casual for hanging out.

The other parts of the restaurant. Yes, this restaurant is big and it fits many people in here.
While I was coming here, it was still early, around 10-11 AM. So it was not crowded at all.
But some tables are already reserved.

Closer look to the graffiti.

Okay let's place an order! It's a bit pricey here, so it will be perfect if you bring your loved one for special occasion.

I chose Egg Bennedict because I was craving for it on the first day I arrived in Jakarta. And they gave the wholegrain bread as well.
The blue napkins just match the place's decoration, don't you think?

The photogenic Egg Bennedict. I supposed to only post one photo of this, but I can't help it.
It's just super photogenic. ><
The presentation of the food is very beautiful. Thumbs up!

Every bite is a combination of soft bun, ham, spinach and hollandaise sauce.
Good, but not really tasty.
But I am a fan of Eggs Bennedict so it's just fine for me :)
it's just perfect to start my day with this breakfast.

A basket of wholegrain bread,
which is pretty hard to chew and bitter,
but it's still okay to eat if you are hungry :)

Namoo Korean Dessert Cafe & Bistro - Review

11 October 2014

K-Pop and Dessert lovers, here is a suitable place for you to visit.

Let me take you a tour to this Korean Cafe.
Put on your Korean songs while reading this post (if necessary) :p

NAMOO On The Park
Korean Dessert Cafe & Bistro

Warm welcome with adorable vintage furnitures and decoration.

The concept is cozy, vintage and fun. The mascot of Namoo Cafe is super cute!
I love the color tone, fresh and bright <3

Classic comic style pillows in a sofa for one.

The Vintage stuffs in detail. Super adorable!

Apparently the second floor was closed at the time I visited this cafe. ><

NAMOO in Korean means "tree", so that's why the Cafe is connected to Park and dominated with wood materials, which leads to a very comfy feeling inside it. It was weekend and kinda tea-time, so the place was crowded.

The wood materials all around the cafe gave a nature, vintage feeling, while combined it with the touch of black and white color, made it looks classy and modern as well. I think this place is suitable for Young-Adults to Adults. :)

They served outdoor area as well, but the glass doors are opened,
which made the indoor's area is quiet hot. ^^''

They gave free drinking water too, it's self-service. In Cafe Bene, they also provide this. So I guess it's quiet normal in Korean Dessert Cafe.

Since the outdoor area has direct access to the playground and small park,
Most of the young-adult couple with their children chose to seat there,
so they can let the children play while they enjoyed the food.

Random Vintage stuffs. Polaroid cameras, books with yellow papers, jars, flowers, vinyl...
I love the consistency of putting vintage stuffs as decoration.

The menu has many choices. They served heavy meal such as Bibimbap, Rice Burgers, Hottuk, etc. But we prefer order the Desserts Section. Hmm, What would you order?

Okay, should I commented on the menu design? :p (designer's habit --')
The Menu design feels fun, attractive.
It has the cute doodle as they represented their popular menu, which made it easier to be chosen for the visitors.
I love how they put the Korean hangul beside every menu. Feels like we're in Korean! :3
The consistency of vintage concept also found in the background they used, an old textured paper and using a flat ribbon banner to divide the categories.

Here is the selection for Bing Soo.
If you didn't know Bing Soo 빙수 is the popular Korean shaved ice cream with unique toppings, such as chopped fruit, condensed milk, fruit syrup and red bean paste.
It served in a big bowl and suitable for Summer.
Well, we choose the one with the star, Salt Ice Cream Caramel Popcorn Bingsoo. Sounds yum!

Sweet Potato Cake

This one is very popular based on most blogs' review. So we decided to try it.
First bite feels good! It didn't feel too sweet, it's silky and smooth.
The topping is like crumble and crunchy so it made the taste more amusing.
Great, but not really make me feel addicted to it. :3

Salt Ice Cream Caramel Popcorn Bingsoo

Hmmm, It tastes like Caramel Popcorn.
The ice cream is salty and fresh.
If you are a salty lover, this is a good choice for you. :)
But I still prefer the Cafe Bene's Green Tea Bingsoo.

I won't miss to take a picture with the cute place at the entrance.
Pardon my super-formal outfit, since I was doing my design exhibition that time.

Overall visit, I love the concept of the cafe! The desserts were good, too.
Maybe it suits the traditional Korean taste, but for me not very-very delicious.
If you love Korean food, this place has many variety of choices, from heavy meal to desserts.
So, it worth the try, though! :))
